Navigating the complex narrative of Dragon's Dogma 2 leads players through numerous intricate storylines, but few are as captivating as the personal quest line for Wilhelmina. Entrusted with uncoverable secrets within Vernworth's Rose Chateau Bordelrie, the Arisen must uncover dark political intrigue surrounding Minister Allard. Completing this quest provides not only significant gold and special rewards, but also deepens your affinity with one of the game's most enigmatic figures.
How to Unlock the Quest
To initiate the Every Rose Has Its Thorn side mission, you must first progress far enough in the main story to gain access to the Noble Quarter in Vernworth. Players should build rapport with Wilhelmina by visiting her at the Rose Chateau and completing prerequisites involving Captain Brant's investigations. Once these conditions are met, visiting her private chamber triggers a cutscene where she confides her desire for retribution against Allard.
Investigating and Gathering Evidence
Your primary objective involves gathering undeniable proof of Minister Allard's past misdeeds. Search Allard's estate during late hours to locate incriminating documents hidden within secret compartments or desk drawers. You can also consult with Captain Brant or Prince Sven to gain additional support and gather clues regarding Allard's corrupt history.
Confronting Allard and Escaping
After presenting the gathered evidence to Wilhelmina, return to her room at night to assist in executing her plan. Follow the prompt to restrain Allard, allowing Wilhelmina to deliver her final retribution. Once the scene concludes, leap out of the window to avoid capture by city guards, relying on Captain Brant to assist with your escape outside.
Quest Completion and Rewards
Wait a full game day by resting at an inn or resting on a bench before returning to the Rose Chateau. Speaking with Wilhelmina triggers a concluding conversation that unlocks her romance cutscene and resolves the storyline. Completing this mission successfully rewards you with 8,500 Gold alongside the Ring of Benevolence.
